Dixie High School

Dixie High School's Student Government and Beta Club presented Hoyt Dorn with a check for $1873.38.  The check will go to Abbeville County's American Cancer Society Relay for Life.  The Student Government raised money by having a pie contest.  The students donated money to have their favorite teacher pied during the pep rally.  Three coaches and our AG teacher brought in the most donations.  Coach Lollis, Coach Martin, Coach Prince, and Mr. Murdock were the recipients of the pie-in-the-face.  This fundraiser raised $768.38.  The Beta Club at Dixie sold pink links for eight days.  The pink links were 10 cents apiece.  Coach Martin's class purchased over 1600 links and Coach Burton's class purchased over 1200 links.  In total, the Beta Club raised $1,100.  Pictured above are Hoyt Dorn, Makinsie Ware (Vice-President of the Beta Club), Bradley Ware (President of the Student Government), Dr. Gary, Mr. Prescott, Mrs. Eller (Advisor of the Student Government), and Beta Club members who sold the pink links.
