Abbeville County Sheriff's Office Youth Challenge Camp - Deadline 3/31/2020 - Accepting Camp applications from all enrolled Abbeville County High School Students in rising grades 9th -12th. The camp takes place June 22-26 at the Abbeville Civic Center from 7:45-4:00PM and is provided at no cost. Print application from link above or pick up from SRO Jonathan Pratt or Counseling Department on the shelf outside Mr. Bannister's door.

Rotary Youth Leadership Award - Deadline 4/3/2020 - 1 Free by Rotary & $475 Fee for others The 38th annual week-long motivational, leadership training, and free enterprise seminar for rising high school juniors and seniors for the opportunity to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) at Erskine College this summer. The Abbeville Rotary Club sponsors (pays for) ONE delegate from AHS, but anyone else is welcome to attend if they want to pay the fee themselves. (One nomination will be chosen and paid for by the Abbeville Rotary.) Checks should be made payable to RYLA. All payments are expected at the time the delegate names are submitted. South Carolina Chamber of Commerce 36th Annual Business Week - Deadline 4/30/2020 $75 Application Fee South Carolina Business Week is available to the state's rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who rank in the top 1/3 of their class. Throughout the week, more than 30 prominent business executives teach current business topics and leadership skills. Starting with the basics and adding topics throughout the week, students collaborate with executives in an intensive program designed to develop a thorough understanding of private enterprise. Clemson's Challenge for Academically Talented Students (C-CATS) recruits top 10% 9th and 10th graders from SC, NC and GA to participate in high-powered weekend retreats. C-CATS is only open to students in the top-10% of their class. If you think you fit that criteria, please ask your guidance counselor to nominate you!
