College/Career Ready
Are you “College and/or Career Ready”?
(25 Points of School Report Card measurement under Every School Succeeds Act)
The College and Career Ready indicator on the school report card determines if students who are graduating from a high school are prepared for college or careers after graduating. (When you hear us use the terminology “College Ready” or “Career Ready”, we are referring to this indicator not our opinion of a student making it in college as colleges/universities determine your acceptances.
To be college-ready, a student must meet one of the following: |

1. Scores a composite score of 20 or higher on the ACT; 2. Scores a composite score of 1020 or higher on the SAT; 3. Scores a 3 or higher on an Advanced Placement (AP) exam; 4. Scores a 4 or higher on an International Baccalaureate (IB) assessment. Only higher learning (HL) exams may count; or 5. Completes at least six (6) credit hours in dual enrollment courses with a grade of C or higher. |
To be career-ready, a student must meet one of the following: |

1. Is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) completer and earns a national or state industry credential as determined by the business community; or 2. Earns a Silver, Gold or Platinum National Career Readiness Certificate on the state-approved career readiness assessment; or (WIN Career Ready TEST 3/25 for all 3rd year high school students) 3. Earns a scale score of 31 or higher on the ASVAB; or 4. Successfully completes a state-approved work-based learning program. |
